Family Lawyer, Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, Parenting Coordinator

Carmel is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law, Parenting Coordinator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.

Carmel has been admitted as a lawyer since 2000 and since then has practised in Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia.

In 2011, Carmel completed her examinations (written and practical) to qualify as an Accredited Family Law Specialist in Western Australia.  Carmel’s Accreditation was recognised by the Queensland Law Society in 2019, after she relocated to Queensland.

Carmel initially practised in the litigation with a large Darwin law firm, before taking a short break from law during which she obtained a management position in a large national firm which included work with finances and budgeting, human resources, employment and compensation issues and compliance with policies and procedures.

In 2008, Carmel returned to work as a lawyer. Since that time, she has predominately practised in Family Law together with some Wills, Estate Planning and Deceased Estates matters.

Carmel is passionate about helping her clients navigate the obstacles of dealing with arrangements for children and property after separation or dealing with difficulties that arise out of co-parenting.
